To your surprise the prices of affordable houses have been fixed by the Haryana government keeping in mind the lower-middle and middle segments families of the society, Tulip Infratech Pvt Ltd chief Parveen Jain said on Sunday.
One of the best perks being that in affordable houses, no builder is allowed to sell at a rate above Rs 4,000 per square foot in high potential zones like Gurgaon, Panchkula, Faridabad, and Rs 3,600 per square foot in medium potential zones like Rewari, Mahendergarh and Jhajjar.
According to a spokesperson of the Town and Country Planning department said that in Gurgaon circle alone, 34 licences for affordable houses have been granted by the state government – 23 in Gurgaon city, 9 in Sohna and 2 in Rewari.
Nonetheless a total of 46 affordable projects have been sanctioned in the entire state of Haryana – 8 in Faridabad circle, 2 in Rohtak circle and 2 in Panchkula, he added.
However he further stated that around 20,000 houses would be built under affordable housing projects as per 23 licences granted in Gurgaon city.
According to the department as the aspirants of such affordable houses are more than the planned houses, the flats would be allotted under a lucky draw system.
Mr Jain said that two-bedroom affordable flats in Sector 69 would cost between Rs 18.66 lakh and Rs. 19.50 lakh, and one-bedroom would cost Rs 15.69 lakh.
He also said a major advantage of the Tulip affordable housing project is its prime location in the vicinity of Sohna road which makes it surrounded with all full-fledged amenities.
