However there are a few tips to help you make your renting journey easy.
Getting in touch with professional movers
Moving on your own would be difficult. More so if you have to move your furniture and other fragile items. Hence it is best to seek professional help.
Ask questions about lease
Be upfront and clear every doubt you may have regarding your lease. If possible have a clear written statement about lease, fine, rent dates and so on and so forth. Ask all the queries that you may have.
Ask monetary questions
Yes in most places you would also pay an advance along with a security deposit. Ask your landlord about all the details. Ask them about the policies. Try knowing about all the details before you move in. Each rental is different from the other. Hence each of their policies might be different from the other.
Ask your landlord for a tour and ask about the furniture and furnishings
You need to be cautious and critical about the house you would settle in. Ask about the furniture in the house and if they would be there when you would move in. Would you be moving into a furnished or unfurnished apartment has to be cleared by you. Know what furniture you would have to move in to settle into the place
Ask about your freedom to change or add anything
Technically the house belongs to your landlord. You would have to ask if your landlord is okay with the changes you would make to the house. Could you add wall hangings or add wallpapers? Ask every doubt you may have.
